Founder, director, and CEO Heather Falkowski founded Life of Recovery at the age of 22 after a long journey with substance abuse. A troubled childhood led to her substance abuse beginning at age 12, after many institutions, overdoses, and homelessness Heather over came substance abuse and found recovery in a sober living home. After three months of sobriety Heather became house manager of the sober home managing fourteen women.
One year later the sober home was closing, at that point Heather took initiative and the women with her and started Life of Recovery Sober Housing, now seven bed home assisting women regain their lives. Heather has also furthered her education in addictions and mental health by becoming a licensed chemical dependency counselors assistant, peer recovery supporter, and majoring in chemical dependency for three years. Heather is truly committed to guiding women in finding meaningful lives through accountability, honesty, and compassion.
